Ylivieska introduction
It’s worth coming to BestPark Ylivieska, located between the borders of Central and Northern Ostrobothnia, even from a greater distance, as this three-plus-rated motorhome park can be accessed by road from every direction. From the east and west, you can travel along Highway 27, and from the north and south, along Route 86. BestPark motorhome park is located right by the popular Hamari beach.
With over 15,000 inhabitants, Ylivieska offers a wide range of cultural offerings: Ylivieska Cultural Center Akustiikka provides events and exhibitions throughout the year, the Experience House Artteri showcases high-quality theater programming, and the area’s numerous museums provide a good reason to visit. During the summer, the historical Helaala mill in the center is an excellent stopping place due to its beautiful surroundings along the beach path and its café. Throughout the year, Ylivieska offers diverse sports opportunities as well as several hiking trails, nature paths, and atmospheric campfire sites. At Huhmarkallio outdoor area, you can enjoy activities such as trail running, mountain biking, karting, and disc golf. In winter, you can try cross-country skiing or go sledding.
In the Ylivieska city center, about 2.5 kilometers from the motorhome park, there are many specialty stores and local shops, as well as several restaurants.
Kalajoki’s Hiekkasärkät sand dunes with their beaches are a half-hour drive away, and the neighboring municipality of Sievi also offers various sights and activities, such as the versatile activity options of Louekeskus ski resort. The nearest golf courses are located in Kalajoki and Nivala.
